Your information isn't a listing.
This page explains the main information Monkey Marketplace uses to provide Discord sign-in, marketplace profiles, verification, listings, and optional shipment tracking. Review this summary and contact the team if something is unclear.
Plain-language summary · Updated October 2026Information we use
- Discord account and server access: your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and server/permission information needed to show the dashboard and verify which servers you manage.
- Marketplace profile: profile details, listings, offers, transaction history, ratings, and moderation records needed to run the marketplace.
- Shipping and payment preferences: details you choose to save or send to the other party to complete a deal.
- Verification and abuse prevention: a keyed hash of a verified phone number, verification timestamps, and keyed hashes derived from IP addresses and network ranges to detect abuse.
- Images: listing and community images uploaded to the service.
How sensitive details are handled
Saved shipping and payment-preference fields are encrypted in the database. Verified phone numbers are stored as keyed hashes for account uniqueness and permanent phone-ban enforcement rather than as readable phone numbers. IP-based trust signals are hashed; the service documents a 180-day retention period for those IP-derived records.
When you initiate a purchase, the seller receives the shipping details you choose to send. Only share the information needed for that transaction, and do not post private details in public Discord channels.
Service providers
Monkey Marketplace relies on third-party infrastructure to operate:
- Discord for account sign-in, server membership, and marketplace messages.
- Railway and PostgreSQL to run the website, bot, and database.
- Cloudflare R2 to store supported marketplace images.
- Textbelt to deliver SMS verification messages when you choose phone verification.
- EasyPost to track carrier tracking numbers submitted by sellers and provide shipment-status updates.
Monkey Marketplace does not collect or process the payment for a buyer and seller's deal. They arrange payment directly with each other.
Tracking and notifications
If a seller registers a tracking number, the tracking number and carrier are sent to EasyPost for tracking. Carrier updates are stored and sent to the transaction participants through Discord when available. Carrier data may be delayed or incomplete, and a tracking update is not proof of the item's contents or authenticity.
The website's current Discord sign-in does not request your email address. Email notifications are not currently part of the tracking flow.
Access, correction, and deletion
Use the profile controls available in Discord to review or delete personal profile information. You can also contact the marketplace team through the support options in Discord for data questions. Certain records, including moderation actions, permanent phone-ban hashes, and transaction records, may be retained when needed to protect the marketplace, enforce rules, or preserve transaction history.
Security and changes
We use access controls, encryption for saved sensitive profile fields, and restricted admin tools. No online service can guarantee absolute security. This page is a plain-language description of current application behavior, not a promise that every third-party service has identical retention practices. We may update this page as features change.
